29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): Each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling: Transport route from 6149 S. Route 64, Clare, IL to 3646 Old State Road, Kirkland, IL: On or about May 28, 2019, an employee was not protected from a fall of approximately 23.8 feet while positioned on the top of a grain bin that was being transported down the roadway. The employee was positioned on top of the bin in order to raise energized overhead power lines to allow the truck hauling the bin to travel underneath the power lines. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
