29 CFR 1910.151(c): Where employees were exposed to injurious corrosive materials, suitable facilities for quick drenching or flushing of the eyes and body were not provided within the work area for immediate emergency use: a) Tire charging station and facility - On or about April 25, 2019, employees responsible for the maintenance of forklift batteries station that contain over approximately 50 battery charges must open the batteries to add acid exposing them to chemical burns while employees add a corrosive solution including, but not limited to Battery Wash Water Treatment and Sulfuric Acid. No immediately eye wash station was located on the area. b) Facility- A forklift battery came undone from the a forklift and fell on the floor spilling acid over the floor, battery technicians were asked to clean the acid with including, but not limited to battery wash water treatment. No immediately eye wash station was located on the area.
