Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: (a) On or about April 16, 2019, fall protection training provided to employees was inadequate, exposing employees to fall hazards in that, employees disconnected and were allowed to disconnect from the personal fall arrest system while utilizing a backpack blower on a roof and connect to a ring on the front of the harness not intended for a fall arrest system. (b) On or about April 16, 2019, fall protection training provided to employees was inadequate, exposing employees to fall hazards in that, employees did not know at what height fall protection equipment was required by OSHA. (c) On or about April 16, 2019, fall protection training provided to employees was inadequate, exposing employees to fall hazards, in that, more than one employee connected and was allowed to connect to a single person anchorage point.
