29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i)(A): Authorized employee(s) did not receive training in the recognition of applicable hazardous energy sources, the type and magnitude of the energy available in the workplace, and the methods and means necessary for energy isolation and control: a) On or about March 28, 2019, in east end of the shop, the employer failed to provide training to each authorized employee performing service and/or maintenance to machinery or equipment to ensure the employee acquired the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of energy control devices. A warehouse employee sustained an amputation to the right hand pinky and middle fingers, while using compressed air to clean wood debris from the bed of blades on an Oliver 170 Stratoplane Planer Machine, Serial Number 202850.
