29 CFR 1910.134(k): The employer did not provide effective training to employees who are required to use respirators: Employees were exposed to health hazards. Employees engaged in painting activities using the Sperian 100400 NIOSH dual cartridge half mask respirator in the spray paint booth were exposed to health hazards in that respiratory protection training was not provided where it was required to protect the health of the painter. They were not trained before using the tight-fitting respirators during spray painting operations. 29 CFR 1903.19(c)(1) requires certification that the abatement of the above violation is complete.
