29 CFR 1926.251(a)(6): Each day before being used, the sling and all fastenings and attachments of rigging equipment were not inspected for damage or defects by a competent person designated by the employer. Additional inspections were not performed during sling use, where service conditions warrant: On or about March 6, 2019, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards while using rigging equipment, such as chain slings and wire rope, without an inspection of the equipment.
