Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): No employer shall permit an employee to work in such proximity to any part of an electric power circuit that the employee could contact the electric power circuit in the course of work, unless the employee is protected against electric shock by deenergizing the circuit and grounding it or by guarding it effectively by insulation or other means. On January 21, 2019, at 4620 Wesley Ave, Cincinnati, 2nd floor of an office building, the employer permitted an employee to work and come in contact with an 277 Volt AC energized electrical circuit while replacing a 2' x 4' florescent light fixture and installing a LED light fixture.
