29 CFR 1910.178(n)(7)(iii): On all grades the load and load engaging means shall be tilted back if applicable, and raised only as far as necessary to clear the road surface. Facility: The load and load engaging means of the Yale powered industrial truck (PIT), SN A810N04039V, were raised far more than as necessary to clear the road surface. On or about January 11, 2019, the above PIT while carrying a load tipped over to a side while the operator was making a sharp turn with the load engaging mean was raised far more than it was necessary, and the operator sustained injuries from the incident.
