29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a. Employees performing roofing work are not protected from fall hazards by the use of a fall protection system. Travis Slaughter d/b/a Florida Roofing Experts fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on January 8, 2019, at a job site at 4056 Lonicera Loop, Fruit Cove, Florida, when 10 roofing employees working on the 6:12 pitch slopes of first-story and second-story roofs were exposed to 9 feet to 26 feet fall hazards from the roof eaves and the raked edges of the peaks of roof gables in that they were not protected by a fall protection system.
