29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6): The employer did not provide the basic advisory information on respirators, as presented in Appendix D of 29 CFR 1910.134, in written or oral format to employees who wear respirators when such use was not required by the employer: Dock Area: On or about dates between November 8 and 21, 2018, employee(s) were voluntarily using a filtering facepiece respirator at times during the Woolsey wildfire because of smoke and ash in the air. Employee(s) were not provided the information contained in Appendix D prior to use. Employees were exposed to respiratory hazards. The U.S. Postal Service was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard [29 CFR 1910.134(k)(6)], which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1065457, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 23, 2015, with respect to a workplace located at 1720 Market Street, St. Louis, Missouri 63155.
