29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3): The employee training did not include the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(3)(i) through (h)(3)(iv): a) FedEx Ground/Dayton, NJ- Throughout the facility: The employer failed to inform employees handling packages containing dry ice about the physical, chemical, and health hazards associated with exposure to dry ice and carbon dioxide. Employees were not trained on the measures to be taken to protect themselves, as well as the procedures and work practice to be utilized when handling these packages. Package handlers were unloading trailers which contained dry ice used as coolant, exposing them to oxygen deficient atmosphere, frostbite, and possible burns. Incident occurred on November 6, 2018.
