29 CFR 1910.120(q)(1): The employer did not develop and implement an emergency response plan to handle anticipated emergencies prior to commencement of emergency response operations: a) 50 Howard Street, Piscataway, NJ 08854 - Stericycle/Warehouse Employee(s) responded to a bulging drum containing hazardous, corrosive chemicals such as but not limited to nitric, sulfuric and nitric acids, which was visibly under pressure, without the employer developing a site-specific emergency response plan, to include procedures and training. This condition exposed the employee(s) to fume explosion hazards, released by the bulging drum. Violation occurred on or about 10/12/2018. WRITTEN ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19.
