29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Marfi Contracting Corp: Employees were doing roofing installation work on a flat roof. An adequate training program was not in place in that employees were unable to recognize the procedures to be followed to minimize fall hazards relating to skylights and unprotected sides and edges; on or about 8/15/18. b) Marfi Contracting Corp: Employees were doing roofing installation work on a flat roof. An adequate training program was not in place in that employees were unable to recognize the procedures to be followed to minimize fall hazards relating to unprotected sides and edges via the use of warning line systems and safety monitoring systems; on or about 8/15/18. Note: In addition to abatement certification the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
