29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. a) On or about 8/22/2018 an employer did not conduct periodic inspection of the energy control procedures to ensure the procedures and requirements were being followed, such as but not limited to: the control of energy during servicing and/or maintenance of machines and equipment. Employees were not utilizing the LOTO procedures to perform maintenance or repairs such as changing a belt on a sander or removing a defective blade.
