29 CFR 1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling: On or about 07-25-2018 and times prior thereto, located at URS Federal Services, Inc. - AECOM on Naval Air Station Oceana; 1760 1st Street, Suite #200. Virginia Beach, VA 23460: Employee(s) were exposed to fire and electrical hazards from daisy-chained surge protectors and temporary electric extension cords. Instance #1: Employee(s) were exposed to fire and electrical hazards from two daisy-chained surge protectors located in the administrative office behind the site-managers desk. Instance #2: Employee(s) were exposed to fire and electrical hazards from two daisy-chained surge protectors located under the administrative assistant desk directly beside the site-managers desk. Instance #3: Employee(s) were exposed to fire and electrical hazards from one surge protector plugged into and daisy-chained temporary electric extension cord that was continuously wrapped around the leg of a metal table located in the break area of the administrative offices. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
