(i) Except as provided elsewhere in this section, the employer must ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that is 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level is protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail system, safety net system, personal fall protection system, such as personal fall arrest system. a) 278-282 W. Railway Ave Paterson NJ (Transfer Station): Employees were exposed to a 12' fall hazard while tarping a refuse garbage trailer. Employees were exposed to a fall hazard while tarping the trailer without the use of personal fall arrest system or other means of fall protection in place, on or about 7/12/2018.
