29 CFR 1910.106(e)(2)(iv)(c): Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 °F (37.8 °C), were used where there were open flames or other sources of ignition within the possible path of vapor travel. a) Packaging Lab, 50 Frontage Road, Andover, MA On or about March 29, 2018, the employer did not ensure that a category 2 flammable liquid, acetone, in an open dispensing container was kept clear of an open flame that was being used in the same fume hood. Abatement certification is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
