29 CFR 1926.502(d)(16)(iii): Personal fall arrest systems, when stopping a fall, were not rigged such that an employee could not free fall more than 6 feet (1.8 m) nor contact any lower level: a) On or about March 9, 2018, at 9400 W Commercial Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351, exposed to a fall hazard while installing wooden sheeting on the exterior sides and on the parapet walls, and on the roof of a newly constructed gas station/convenience store, from an aerial lift, while wearing fall protection, wherein the systems were rigged such that during a fall, the employees would free fall more than 6 feet and/or the system was rigged such that the employee would have contacted the lower level. b) On or about March 9, 2018, at 9400 W Commercial Blvd., Sunrise, FL 33351, employees exposed to a fall hazard while installing/removing roofing material on an overhang, while wearing a personal fall arrest system, wherein the system was rigged such that during a fall, the employees would free fall more than 6 feet and/or the system was rigged such that the employee would have contacted the lower level.
