29 CFR 1926.451(e)(9)(iv): Cross braces on tubular welded frame scaffolds were used as a means of access or egress. Employees engaged in removing steel beams with the use of a scissor lift, climbed the cross bars to access the platform that was approximately 12 to 15 feet in the air.
