29 CFR 1910.1026(h)(1): A hazard was present or was likely to be present from skin or eye contact with chromium (VI); however, the employer did not provide appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment at no cost to employees, and/or did not ensure that employees used such clothing and equipment: Employees engaged in aircraft manufacturing activities were exposed to hexavalent chromium hazards in that the employer did not ensure that employees used appropriate personal protective clothing and equipment in the following locations: a) Employee rotated metal frames with parts into the spray paint feed-in area, located near E.5 1 in the northwest corner of the 2nd floor of Bldg 2-278, without protective gloves. b) Employees arranged parts on screen frames to be spray painted with hexavalent chromium paint, located near C-4 in the north end of the 2 floor of Bldg 2-278, without protective coveralls or apron.
