29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer did not conduct an annual or more frequent inspection of the energy control procedure to ensure that the procedure and requirements of this standard were followed: Northwest, tray/slice room, Marchant Schmidt, Inc. tray line conveyors and ultrasonic cutters - On or about January 12, 2018, the employer did not conduct inspections of their hazardous energy control procedures at least annually to identify and correct any deviations or procedural inadequacies. Employees assigned to perform cleaning activities on the tray line conveyors and ultrasonic cutters were exposed to machine hazards likely to result in serious injuries due to in-going nip points and shear points. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
