29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were other provisions of paragraph (b) of this section used to provide an alternative fall protection measure: On or about December 5, 2017, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 10 feet while installing roofing material on a residential house and a suitable fall protection system was not used. Messing Construction Company, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard: 29 CFR 1926.501(B)(13)which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1247786, citation number 1, item number 3, AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON August 28, 2017 with respect to a workplace located at 13105 Edgewater Drive, Chillicothe, Illinois 61523.
