29 CFR 1910.178(n)(6): Industrial truck drivers were not required to look in the direction of, and keep a clear view of the path of travel: On or about November 30, 2017, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the employees looked back at their loads while traveling around corners and while traveling over an expansion joint in the floor. Employee did not look back in the direction of travel when backing up in order to align with a floor conveyor. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification. This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.
