29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7)(iv): There shall be no damaged parts that may adversely affect safe operation or mechanical strength of the equipment, such as parts that are broken, bent, cut, or deteriorated by corrosion, chemical action, or overheating. On or about 10-25-2017 and times prior thereto, located at U.S. Postal Service Denbigh Station 14104 Warwick Blvd., Newport News, VA 23602, Condition: Employee(s) were exposed to electrical hazards where a 110 volt receptacle mounted on a metal column had a damaged cover plate that was exposing the internal connections of the receptacle terminals. This receptacle was powering postal service scanning equipment. *CORRECTED DURING THE INSPECTION* Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
