Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: a) On or about October 11, 2017 located in the kitchen where kitchen employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when performing servicing on equipment such as, but not limited to, a Waukesha pump used to transport refried beans without developing an energy control program. b) On or about October 19, 2017 at the facility where maintenance employees were exposed to electrical and caught in hazards when performing servicing and/or maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to, column lifts and a bowl chopper without developing an energy control program.
