29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(ii): Prior to permitting an employee to operate a powered industrial truck (except for training purposes), the employer shall ensure that each operator has successfully completed the training required by this paragraph (l), except as permitted by paragraph (l)(5). a. On or about July 10, 2017, the employer did not ensure each operator was trained on the safe operation of motorized hand trucks prior to being permitted to operate them. International Technical Coatings, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.178(l)(1)(ii) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1069945, citation number 1, item number 7 and was affirmed as a final order on 01/06/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 845 Markison Ave. Columbus, Ohio.
