29 CFR 1926.451(e)(9)(iv): The use of cross braces on tubular welded frame scaffolds was not prohibited as a means of access or egress. (a) Date of Violation: On or about 07-06-2017 and times prior thereto, located at NAS Oceana - Dam Neck Annex 352 Bullpup Street. Virginia Beach, VA 23461, Condition: Employee(s) were only able to climb on and through the cross braces on the tubular welded frame scaffold system in order to access and egress the extended work platform where they were standing while pumping grout in the block walls. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employee(s) and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
