29 CFR 1910.147(c)(1): The employer did not establish a program consisting of an energy control procedure, employee training and periodic inspections to ensure that before any employee performed any servicing or maintenance on a machine or equipment where the unexpected energizing, startup or release of stored energy could occur and cause injury, the machine or equipment shall be isolated from the energy source and rendered inoperative: (a) On or about 03/01/2017 - Production area, Austin vertical chop saw, a program had not been established for employees removing pieces of wood from underneath the machine blade guard without locking the equipment out. (b) On or about 05/03/2017 - Production area, Austin vertical chop saw, a program had not been established for employees performing servicing and maintenance on equipment such as, but not limited to, a radial arm saw, a vertical chop saw, an air compressor, and a table band saw machine, among others.
