29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Unguarded projecting shaft end(s) did not present a smooth edge and end and projected more than one half the diameter of the shaft: (a) In the Plastic Sorting Department, the drive shaft on the south side of the Bottle Line conveyor had an unguarded shaft end, which was notched and projected out of the motor approximately 2.5 inches and had a diameter of approximately 1.5 inches. (b) In the Plastic Sorting Department, the drive shaft on the General Plastic Line conveyor had an unguarded shaft end, which was notched and projected out of the motor approximately 4.25 inches and had a diameter of approximately 1.5 inches.
