29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. Storage of material shall not create a hazard. Bags, containers, bundles, etc., stored in tiers shall be stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they are stable and secure against sliding or collapse. a) On 4/10/17 in CR-4 Center Bay East coils of steel weighing 26,060 pounds and 43,881 pounds were not stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height, in that when a coil weighing 46,110 pounds dropped near the staged coils. The unstacked, unblocked, not interlocked coils were struck by the falling coil which then rolled, struck and fell on an employee.
