29 CFR 1910.37(a)(3): Exit route(s) were not kept free and unobstructed: A.) On or about April 5, 2017 at 23-55 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11106 (1st Floor: Deli Department) An emergency exit door located on the 1st floor of the building was blocked by a metal hand truck and cardboard boxes preventing prompt and safe egress of employees from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. B.) On or about April 5, 2017 at 23-55 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11106 (Crescent Street) An emergency exit route leading to a 1st floor exit door was observed obstructed by a permanently installed conveyor belt preventing prompt and safe egress from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. C.) On or about July 26, 2017 at 23-55 Broadway, Astoria, NY 11106 (1st Floor: Deli Department) An emergency exit door located on the 1st floor of the building was blocked by a metal hand truck and cardboard boxes preventing prompt and safe egress of employees from the building in the event of a fire and/or other emergency. CRESCENT FOOD CORP. DBA TRADE FAIR SUPERMARKET WAS PREVIOUSLY CITED FOR A VIOLATION OF THIS OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH STANDARD 1910.37(a)(3), WHICH WAS CONTAINED IN OSHA INSPECTION NUMBER 907084, CITATION NUMBER 01, ITEM NUMBER 001 (a) AND WAS AFFIRMED AS A FINAL ORDER ON 10/23/2014, WITH RESPECT TO A WORKPLACE LOCATED AT 23-55 BROADWAY, ASTORIA, NY 11106. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19
