Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(iii)(A): Retraining shall be provided for all authorized and affected employees whenever there is a change in their job assignments, a change in machines, equipment or processes that present a new hazard, or when there is a change in the energy control procedures. Fabrication department, Littel coil line: on or about March 16, 2017, the employer did not provide hazardous energy control lockout/tagout authorized employee retraining for a new coil line operator that was previously trained as the affected employee in the position of an oven tender. An operator was assigned to perform regular setup tasks independently and had his hands exposed to new equipment caught-in hazards from rotating rollers ingoing nip point likely to result in serious injury during servicing activities. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d)
