29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): (a) In the Screen House Department - An unidentified foot operated metal cutting saw, located along the West wall of the department, was provided with a guard/enclosure over the entire saw. The feed side opening on the guard/enclosure was too large allowing potential exposure to operating saw blade. The opening was approximately 4" X 2" with less than 1" to the blade. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
