29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a) At 3264 East Avalon Parkway, Pike Road, Alabama: On or about March 21, 2017 and at times prior; the employer allowed her employee to use an extension ladder to gain access to the roof and the rails of the ladder did not extend three feet above the landing exposing the employee to a fall hazard of 10 feet to the ground below.
