29 CFR 1910.37(b)(6): Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color: On or about March 15, 2017, at the main kitchen area, employees were exposed to, in the event of an emergency, a delayed egress from an electric wired and bulb type exit signs that did not light up as intended: a. Electric wired and bulb type exit sign located above the platform exit double doors. b. Electric wired and bulb type exit sign located above the door to access chef's office. c. Electric wired and bulb type exit sign located above the middle exit access door inside the chef's office. d. Electric wired and bulb type exit sign located above the exit access inside the chef's office. NOTE: Certification of abatement is not required for this citation item as abatement was documented by the compliance safety and health officer during the inspection.
