Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 002 Hazard:
OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): : The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees, in that employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. On or about February 22, 2017, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards when the platform for the compressor's air dryer was cracked and bowed. The platform was a pallet that had been mounted on legs that only supported the outer edges of the pallet. Employees walk in the area every day. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
