29 CFR 1910.179(i): 29 CFR 1910.179(i): Warning device. A gong or other effective warning signal was not provided for each crane equipped with a power traveling mechanism. On or about February 16, 2017 and there prior, the employer did not install gongs or other effective warning signals on overhead cranes in the machine workroom. Employees in the vicinity were exposed to overhead and struck-by hazards from but not limited to heavy pieces of metals.
