29 CFR 1910.1030(f)(2)(i): Hepatitis B vaccination was not made available after the employee had received the training required in 29 CFR 1910.1030(g)(2)(vii)(I) or within 10 working days of initial assignment to employees who had occupational exposure: a) Workplace, Newark Liberty International Airport, Newark, NJ Cabin cleaners perform housekeeping duties inside commercial airline passenger planes. On 5-11-16 a passenger on a United Airlines 777 passenger jet plane had a medical emergency and bled onto the floor, producing a large pool of blood. Additional surfaces were contaminated with blood to include but not limited to the plane galley, lavatory and aisle. After landing, the employer required employees to clean blood from plane cabin surfaces. The employer failed to offer the Hepatitis B vaccination to workers exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) when required to clean blood from plane cabin surfaces. Violation occurred on or about 5-11-16
