29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: a) On or about September 28th, 2016, in the stockroom/receiving area, a fire extinguisher, resting on a wall component five feet high from the floor, was not readily accessible to employees because it was obstructed by carts, called U-boats, full of merchandise parked closely against each other, exposing employees to smoke inhalation in the case of a fire emergency. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number1158861, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08-02-2016, with respect to a workplace located at 304 Briarwood Dr., Jackson MS. Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1105836, citation number 2, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 04-27-2016, with respect to a workplace located at 34300 MS-35, Valden MS.
