29 CFR 1910.27(c)(4): The distance from the centerline of rungs, cleats, or steps to the nearest permanent object in back of the ladder shall be not less than 7 inches: a) Rovema #1, Packaging Room; Building adjacent to and south of the building housing the corporate offices for J & J Snack Foods Sales Corp: The structural frame supporting the platform (an I beam) was less than approximately 1 inch from the centerline for the rungs for the fixed ladder used for accessing the approximately 9 foot high platform used for cleaning and maintaining the upper parts of Rovema #1, on or about 09/27/2016; b) Rovema #2, Packaging Room; Building adjacent to and south of the building housing the corporate offices for J & J Snack Foods Sales Corp: The structural frame supporting the platform (an I beam) was less than approximately 1 inch from the centerline for the rungs for the fixed ladder used for accessing the approximately 12 foot high platform used for cleaning and maintaining the upper parts of Rovema #2, on or about 09/27/2016. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM, FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
