29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program were understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls were acquired by employees: Entire Facility - On or about August 24 through October 26, 2016, employees performed servicing and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment such as printing presses and collators and were exposed to amputation, laceration and crushing hazards to hands and fingers. The employer did not ensure that lockout/tagout training was provided to all authorized and affected employees who were assigned such tasks to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program were understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage and removal of the energy controls were acquired by employees. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
