29 CFR 1910.213(b)(1): A mechanical or electrical power control shall be provided on each machine to make it possible for the operator to cut off the power from each machine without leaving his position at the point of operation. a. At the work site located at 2160 Mc Gaw Road, Obetz, Ohio, employees used a KVal 990 Handler clamp to load wooden door slabs for processing. The employer failed to ensure that employees who operated the Handler clamp had access to a power shut-off at the point of operation of the Handler. b. At the work site located at 2160 Mc Gaw Road, Obetz, Ohio, employees used a KVal Commander Handler clamp to load wooden door slabs for processing. The employer failed to ensure that employees who operated the Handler clamp had access to a power shut-off at the point of operation of the Handler . c.
