29 CFR 1910.134(c)(1)(vi): The written program did not contain procedures to ensure adequate air quality, quantity, and flow of breathing air for atmosphere-supplying respirators: On or about July 13, 2016 and at times prior thereto, the employers written respiratory protection program did not address procedures to ensure the quality of breathing air provided by the Quincy QSI-370 compressor used to supply breathing air to employees using supplied air respirators. The employees were exposed to inhalation hazards of including, but not limited to: carbon monoxide, water vapor, oil/oil mists. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this citation, the employer must submit documentation describing the steps taken to ensure adequate air quality of breathing air provided for supplied air respirators to protect employees from respiratory injury or death.
