29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladders length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed: a. On or about May 13, 2016, the aluminum 24-foot extension ladder used to access the roof did not extend at least 3-foot above the roof, exposing employees to an 9-foot fall hazard. Great White Construction, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard (29 CFR 1926.1053 (b)(1)), which was contained in OSHA inspection number447093, citation number 1, item number 3, and was affirmed as a final order on 06/27/2012, with respect to a workplace located 12957 Everett Street, Jacksonville, FL.
