29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1): Where portable ladders were used for access to an upper landing surface and the ladder's length allows, the ladder side rails did not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface being accessed. 100 Gulf Rd, Camillus, NY13031, Roof access ladder, On or about 4/8/16: The employer did not ensure that a ladder, that was used for roof access, was extended to at least 3 feet above the landing surface of the roofs edge. The Roofing Guys were previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315849273 , citation number 01, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on 4/25/12 , with respect to a workplace located at 129 Iron Oak Circle., North Syracuse, NY 13212. Pursuant to 29 C.F.R. 1903.19, the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure compliance with the requirement to provide and install fall protection systems, including a description of how these steps will protect its employees from fall hazards.
