29 CFR 1926.100(a): At this job site, employees exposed to possible head injury from falling or flying objects or from impact with hand tools, equipment and building materials during construction operations were not wearing hard hats. The employer is failing to protect employees from struck-by hazards when working near construction equipment and tools. This was most recently documented on or about 1 March 2016 at the 700 block of Main Street, Hays, Kansas where employees were working in an unprotected trench while performing emergency sewer line repairs without wearing head protection.
