Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to severe burn injuries from a dust explosion hazard that could have resulted from, or been exacerbated by, the propagation of fire through an unrestricted conveying system and other pieces of equipment in the building. (a) Silo Building - The duct work connecting the silos and mixers and the main building did not have any chokes or other isolation devices to prevent the spread of flames to other pieces of equipment. (b)Day Bin Room - The duct work connecting the day bins did not have any chokes or other isolation devices to prevent the spread of flames to other pieces of equipment. "AMONG OTHER METHODS, ONE FEASIBLE AND ACCEPTABLE ABATEMENT METHOD TO CORRECT THIS HAZARD IS TO INSTALL CHOKES OR OTHER ISOLATION DEVICES IN THE DUCT WORK OF THE CONVEYING SYSTEM."G
