29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries. The employer is failing to protect employees from fire hazards while engaging in production activities. This was most recently documented at the following locations within the shop located at 731 S. Industrial Ct., Rose Hill, KS, where fire extinguishers were blocked, not identified or not mounted: a) Middle beam #2 fire extinguisher blocked by building material. b) Middle beam #5 fire extinguisher not identified. c) Middle beam #6 fire extinguisher sitting on edge of concrete. North wall starting with northeast to northwest d) Fire extinguisher blocked by building material. e) Fire extinguisher sitting on floor between exit door and garage door. South wall stating in the middle. f) Fire extinguisher sitting on floor in front of bathrooms. g) Fire extinguisher sitting on floor next to main exit.
