29 CFR 1926.850(c): All electric, gas, water, steam, sewer, and other service lines shall be shut off, capped, or otherwise controlled, outside the building line before demolition work is started. In each case, any utility company which is involved shall be notified in advance. a) On or about December 2, 2015, one employee was fatally injured and a second employee was hospitalized when the towers supporting a cable coal bridge prematurely collapsed during their demolition. A pole mounted transformer and electrical power line located within the park side tower's fall zone had not been de-energized as required.
