29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks. On or about November 19, 2015; a. In the manufacturing area where employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard when operating a puller machine without a guard at the ingoing nip point. b. In the manufacturing area where employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating a 5/8 inch clip machine without a guard on the rotating parts . c. In the manufacturing area where employees were exposed to a caught-in hazard when operating a 3/8 inch clip machine without a guard on the rotating parts. d. In the manufacturing area where employees were exposed to caught-in hazards when operating a 1/2 inch clip machine without a guard on the rotating parts.
